About Us

The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium preserves and shares the story of one of America’s last surviving Negro League ballparks and the Paterson field that helped shape trailblazer Larry Doby. We honor the athletes, families, and communities who broke barriers here, and we bring their stories forward through programs that educate, inspire, and unite. Through dynamic public programs, educational initiatives, and community engagement, the Museum promotes a deeper understanding of Hinchliffe’s vital role in American social history and its enduring power to unite the diverse communities of Paterson.
