Black Heritage Trail

We are excited to announce that Hinchliffe Stadium has been added to the State of New Jersey's Black Heritage Trail. The trail highlights Black heritage sites through historical markers and a trail-like path that connects the stories of Black life and resiliency across the state.

Our historic marker was unveiled on August 1, 2025 at the corner of Maple Street and the entrance to Mary Ellen Kramer Park. There are currently 52 sites on the Black Heritage Trail with another round of applications being accepted for 2026.
